Hitflip! One way of cleaning out your closet and swapping things for what you really want!

It´s not exactly a site that´s going to make you loads of money, but my posts are not just about giving you ideas for making money from home, but to give suggestions of how to de-clutter and to motivate ourselves. This idea though, could coincide with selling with auction sites, like Ebay etc, if you have an eye for which books, cds, dvds are in demand, you could swap on the following site and then sell on in the auction sites.

I´ve had a good gander at Hitflip and it´s very much in the same vein as the 1970s/80´s Saturday morning UK tv program "Swap Shop" hosted by Noel Edmunds.

Hitflip is Europe´s largest exchange community for media products, with more than 400,000 products listed for swapping.

You list your products by entering the barcode number on the back of your item and the system fills out the rest for you. For each item you swap you receive flips which you can claim items from other users.

Hitflip launched it´s UK online swapping website on March 2007, marketed by Jamba, the same company behind "Crazy Frog".

The site is easy to navigate, just click on the catagory you want, ie, movies, audiobooks, music, games, books. You then get sub-catagories, for example, click music-cds, you then get an extensive list of different genres - pop, Hip Hop, R&B & Soul, Rock, Metal, clubbing etc, it also tells you how many cds are in that list.

Click on the sub-catagory and choose your title, you then will have a list of members who are offering this item and how many flips they want. If you are not a member you can register at the pop up screen or the button on the top left of the page.

When you have created your username and password, there are 3 price packages to choose from, the higher the package you choose the more bonuses you receive.

You then choose how you are going to pay - either Paypal, mastercard or visa, or moneybookers.

Once you´re registered and you´ve completed your account details, you receive Hitflip news where you con click on help and advice on how to get started.

When you have found an item you want you can press the swap icon, this enables you to buy with flips, buy flips to trade with or offer items for trading. 2 flips cost GBP 4.60, the more flips you buy the cheaper the flips for example 20 flips cost
GBP 38.45, saving GBP 7.55.
